The First Hair Restoration Robot in Georgia

The ARTAS® System was designed, and is manufactured by a company called Restoration Robotics, which was founded in 2002, and is based in Silicon Valley, California. In 2013, after a review of surgical hair restoration practices in Georgia, Dr. Ken Anderson, MD, was selected by Restoration Robotics to receive Georgia’s first ARTAS® Robotic System. On Wednesday, September 4, 2013, Dr. Anderson performed the very first robotic hair restoration surgical procedure in the State of Georgia.  Dr. Anderson is a double board-certified facial plastic surgeon who has confined his practice exclusively and solely to surgical hair restoration for men and women for over a decade. He is the only surgeon board certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in the world with this distinction.

In 2003 Dr. Anderson joined a busy surgical hair restoration practice in Beverly Hills, California, where he excelled in the specialty.  He presented four different lectures about the new FUE technique at the 2004 International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery Annual Meeting in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.  In 2008, Dr. Anderson was recruited from California by EMORY to be the Hair Restoration Specialist within the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (ENT Surgery), a position Dr. Anderson held for over 3 years. In 2012, Dr. Anderson founded the Anderson Hair Sciences Center.  It is a new, state-of-the art facility dedicated to providing the most natural, permanent hair restoration results to both men and women, with a strong emphasis on artistic concepts in hair design, patient comfort, and natural, permanent results.
