Dr. Ken Anderson, a pioneer of Robot-Assisted hair restoration surgery, has performed the 25thARTAS Robotic Hair Restoration Surgery Procedure in the State Georgia.

Dr. Ken Anderson, M.D., Founder and Chief of Surgery of the Anderson Hair Sciences Center has performed the 25th Robotic Hair Transplant surgery in the State of Georgia. In September 2013 Dr. Anderson was the first surgeon in Georgia to perform a robotic hair transplant procedure using the ARTAS Robotic Hair Restoration Surgery System. The ARTAS System performs a method of hair restoration called “Follicular Unit Extraction” (FUE) with unparalleled accuracy and efficiency. With this state-of-the-art system Dr. Anderson is able to transplant hair without any linear or noticeable scarring, using no scalpels, no stitches, with a dramatically shorter recovery period than for patients who received a traditional linear strip method hair restoration.

The ARTAS Robotic System brings a new edge to hair transplantation. Each individual follicle is removed and transplanted to provide the most natural results possible. The minimally invasive procedure is done on an out-patient basis at the Anderson Hair Sciences Center in Sandy Springs, Georgia. The ARTAS Robotic System algorithmically selects each follicular unit and harvests only what is needed. Imageguided precision ensures optimal spacing is maintained between each hair to preserve the natural look.
