SOUTHSIDE STEVE
Witness Steve’s life-changing experience
This journey is not just about hair. It’s also about self-confidence, transformation, and a life-changing experience. Join us as we follow Southside Steve, a radio personality from Rock 100.5 in Atlanta, GA, on his journey at the Anderson Center for Hair.
SOUTHSIDE STEVE’S JOURNEY
Steve’s journey began early in the morning at the Anderson Center for Hair in Alpharetta, GA. The first step, as with any medical procedure, involved checking in and signing consent forms – a necessary formality but also a promise: the promise that you are in good hands. The team then drew Steve’s blood for PRP injections, a treatment that uses your own platelets to stimulate hair growth and healing, employed in every hair restoration at the Anderson Center for Hair.
Next, Steve discussed his hairline with his surgeon, Dr. Anderson. This crucial step determines where the hair will be transplanted. Whether your hairline is receding at the front or thinning on top, your surgeon carefully assesses your hair loss situation to achieve optimal results.
Following the consultation, Steve had his photos taken – a photo session to capture Steve’s “before” state from every angle, serving as a memento of his starting point and for his medical record.
Then came the hair wash, a clinical cleanse preparing the scalp for surgery. Afterward, Dr. Anderson numbed the back of Steve’s head, the area from where hair follicles would be extracted.
Surgery then commenced: Dr. Anderson extracted a strip of scalp from the back of the head. The area where the hair was taken was stitched up using a trichophytic closure, leaving a minimal scar that’s virtually invisible even with hair as short as a quarter of an inch long at the back.
The technician team meticulously dissected under a microscope.
While the technician team processed the graft dissection, Dr. Anderson numbed the front and top of the scalp and made a microscopic incision for each follicle. This careful process ensured each follicle had a place to be implanted and would grow in the correct direction to recreate natural-looking growth.
Then it was lunchtime – a well-deserved break for Dr. Anderson, Steve, and the team.
Post-lunch, the team returned to work, placing each follicle into the sites created by Dr. Anderson. This task was a labor of love, a testament to their dedication and passion for their work.
Once all the follicles were in place, they cleaned and covered his head, nearing the end of the procedure. The final step involved the post-care instructions, a guide to help him care for his new hair in the coming weeks.
Steve described his experience as “fabulous” and highly recommends Dr. Anderson and the Anderson Center for Hair. The journey of hair restoration is a story of transformation, of regaining confidence, and of embracing change. It’s not merely about growing hair – it’s about growing into a new version of yourself. As Southside Steve would say, “Yeah, come on!”
