Dr. Daniel Lee, MD, FACS joined the Anderson Center for Hair’s surgical team in 2017, becoming the second most experienced surgeon performing ARTAS Robotic Hair Restoration Surgery in Georgia, with only Dr. Anderson having more experience. After an intensive training with Dr. Anderson, Dr. Lee not only learned but also mastered the Anderson methods that combine art and science to achieve the most natural hair restoration results.

ABOUT DR. LEE
As the very first graduate of the American Academy of Hair Restoration Surgery (AAHRS), Dr. Lee has excelled and provided outstanding restoration results to many patients. He offers not only restoration surgery, but also other non-surgical hair loss prevention procedures such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections. Dr. Lee also feels that education is an important part of hair restoration and ensures that his patients understand all aspects of hair loss, including methods of prevention, non-surgical treatments for hair loss, and all other hair restoration surgical techniques. Patients from all over the country come to Atlanta to have Dr. Lee perform their hair restoration procedures.

Dr. Lee received his bachelor’s degree in pharmacy at the Rutgers College of Pharmacy in New Jersey in 1985. He then joined the United States Air Force and, through a prestigious military scholarship, obtained his medical degree from The University of Medicine & Dentistry – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Piscataway, New Jersey. He then completed his residency in general surgery at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio, where he was the recipient of the “Residency Teaching Award” for providing expert instruction to medical students and other residents.
After completing his residency, he served as a general surgeon for four years at Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, Georgia, including two years as Chief of Surgery. He received an honorable discharge from the Air Force as a Major in 1998 and moved to Atlanta, where he worked as a general surgeon for more than 16 years with the Kaiser Permanente Medical Group. During that time, he was Chief of Surgery at Piedmont Hospital and served as the Physician Program Directory of Pharmacy and Chairman of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. He was also the Chief of Surgery for Kaiser Permanente. In addition, he participated in several mission trips to the Philippines to provide general surgical care to the underserved before transitioning to hair restoration. He has been with the Anderson Center for Hair since 2017.

Dr. Lee is become board certified in hair restoration surgery through the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery (ABHRS). This is the only recognized certification for hair restoration surgery in the world and is obtained by very few hair restoration surgeons, signifying a commitment to life-long learning and upholding ethics in the field. He is an examiner for the certification exams, serves on the Board of Governors of the ABHRS, and is an active member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS). With more than 1,000 members in 70 countries, the ISHRS is dedicated to achieving excellence in patient outcomes by promoting the highest standards of medical practice, medical ethics, and research in the medical hair restoration field.
Dr. Lee grew up in Singapore and Japan. In his spare time, enjoys traveling, reading, and is an avid Atlanta Braves baseball fan. He can often be seen in Atlanta’s Piedmont Park walking his rescue pup, Hero, and at Truist Park rooting for the Braves.
